Bhopal, Oct. 4 -- After the High Court made it mandatory for two-wheeler riders to wear a helmet, the State government has taken a major decision for the safety of two-wheeler riders in Madhya Pradesh. The pillion rider will also be required to wear a helmet. PHQ has issued the orders in this regard. Petrol will be available only when the rider is wearing a helmet. Fines will be imposed for breaking the rules.
Guidelines regarding helmets have been issued by the Police Headquarters to Bhopal, Indore Police Commissioner along with the SPs of all the districts. Under this instruction, the PHQ said that the pillion rider including the bike rider should also wear helmets.
