Bhopal, June 30 -- Heavy rains lashed the city of Bhopal and large parts of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, marking the first instance of such intense rainfall this season. The persistent rain system is expected to continue impacting the region, with weather alerts issued across several districts.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), around 19 districts, including Bhopal, Gwalior, Narmadapuram, Ratlam, Dhar, Raisen, Vidisha, and Khandwa, experienced intermittent rainfall throughout Sunday.
