Bhopal, May 15 -- As the monsoon approaches, heavy pre-monsoon showers lashed several districts of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, bringing much-needed relief from the intense summer heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the monsoon will arrive in the state by June 15, with many districts already experiencing significant rainfall in recent days.
On Wednesday, Bhopal witnessed intense rainfall, particularly in the old city areas, where waterlogging occurred after afternoon downpours.
