In the state capital Bhopal, the mercury touched 41.1degC on Thursday, making it the second-highest temperature of the season. Residents are increasingly relying on umbrellas, water bottles, and early-morning or late-evening routines to cope with the scorching conditions. Afternoon commuting has seen a significant decline, as people choose to stay indoors during peak heat hours.
