New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- Questioning the rationale of selling excess tickets, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday sought the response of Indian Railways on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking safety measures to prevent stampedes similar to the one which happened recently at New Delhi Railway Station. During the hearing of the PIL, the Bench of Chief Justice DK Upadhyay and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela questioned the Railways for selling tickets in excess of the number of passengers that can be accommodated in a coach.
