Ranchi, July 10 -- In a setback to RJD president and former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday admitted a petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seeking an enhancement of his sentence in the fodder scam case.
The High Court has accepted the petition filed by CBI for increasing the sentence of Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Chief Minister of Bihar, IAS officer Beck Julius and Treasury officer Suvir Bhattacharya all convicted in Deoghar fodder scam. The division bench of Justice Rangan Mukhopadhyay and Justice Ambuj Nath has accepted the appeal petition of CBI for hearing. Now there will be a detailed hearing of this case.
