India, Feb. 4 -- Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika distributed seed capital cheques of Rs 10,000 each to over 18,000 beneficiaries under the 'Chief Minister's Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan' at a special programme in Maibang, Dima Hasao, on Tuesday. During the event, the Minister also laid the foundation stone for five road development projects covering 120 km, to be constructed with Rs 997 crore in World Bank funding. Minister Hazarika expressed confidence that these projects, born from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's vision, will revolutionise connectivity in the hill district.
