India, Nov. 19 -- Cyber fraud is rising at an unprecedented rate in Haryana, with the state losing in excess of ?850 crore to online scams during 2024. According to Sub-Inspector Vikas Beniwal of PS Cyber Manesar, Gurugram alone accounted for one-fifth of these cases, underlining the magnitude of the challenge facing law enforcement authorities. Beniwal was addressing a fraud awareness programme entitled "Knock Out Digital Fraud", organised jointly by Haryana Police and Bajaj Finance Ltd (BFL) at Government College, Sidhrawali.
