Chandigarh, May 12 -- Amid rising Indo-Pakistan tensions, Haryana Police have issued a stern warning against fake donation links being circulated by cyber criminals under the guise of helping the Army or people in Kashmir. These phishing attempts are not only duping citizens of money but also stealing sensitive personal data.

Police sources said that cybercriminals are exploiting public sentiment by sharing malicious links, APKs, and .exe files on WhatsApp, Telegram, and other platforms. These files often masquerade as breaking news, war updates, or leaked footage but are embedded with malware that compromises mobile phones, bank accounts, and social media logins.
