Gurugram, Aug. 31 -- In a major relief for homebuyers struggling with access to sectoral roads, Haryana's Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh on Saturday announced that the state Government will soon amend its policy on 24 and 30-metre-wide roads to check irregularities by builders.

Chairing a meeting in Gurugram with officials of the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), the Chief Town Planner (CTP) and the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), the minister said many developers mislead buyers during the pre-booking stage by showcasing wide roads in their layout plans. However, these roads often lie on land not owned by the developer and are later blocked, leaving residents without proper access.
