Chandigarh, May 6 -- To provide a roof to the poor and needy in the State, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday launched the allotment process for residential plots to 1.58 lakh applicants across 537 Gram Panchayats and 24 Mahagram Panchayats under the second phase of the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2.0. Speaking at a program at the Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh, he said that the present government had committed in its Sankalp Patra to provide housing for poor families in both urban and rural areas in the State.
