Chandigarh, June 21 -- On the request of the State Government, the Central Government has granted a year's extension in service to Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi. A 1990 batch IAS officer, Rastogi, will continue on his post for one more year until June 30, 2026. A June 19 communication from the Union Ministry of Personnel said that the central government, on a proposal of the Haryana Government, has approved the extension of service for Rastogi from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.On May 23, the Haryana Government recommended that Rastogi be given an extension for a year, which has now been approved by the Centre.
