Chandigarh, April 8 -- In a major boost to Haryana's healthcare, education, and infrastructure sectors, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday approved development works worth over Rs 2,330 crore during a meeting of the High-Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and High-Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC). The state also achieved significant cost savings of approximately Rs 106 crore through negotiations with bidders.

Among the most notable approvals was the construction of a Mother and Child Hospital within the premises of BK (Civil) Hospital in Faridabad, aimed at enhancing maternal and pediatric care in the region.
