Gurugram, June 19 -- The cyber crimes teams of the Gurugram police have arrested 16 cyber criminals who defrauded people across India in 15,265 complaints worth Rs 66.62 crore, police said.
The arrested were identified as Anurag, Ashish Kumar, Chirag, Suraj Tiwari, Amit Lavania, Anupam Banarjee, Nitesh, Roshni, Karan Singh, Ruman Ali, Raman, Chandan, Isha Yadav, Saurabh, Sonu and Prateek. The accused were arrested by a different team of Cyber Crime Police Station of the Gurugram Police.
According to the police, After reviewing the data of the 17 mobile phones and seven SIM cards recovered from the accused by the police from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordinate Center (I4C), it was found that the accused were involved in fraud of about Rs 66....
