Gandhinagar, Feb. 22 -- The Gujarat assembly on Friday unanimously passed a bill to amend a 2022 law to extend the deadline by six months for clinical establishments, including hospitals, to apply for provisional registration.
Under the Gujarat Clinical Establishment (Registration and Regulation) (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which received support from Opposition parties, including the Congress, the time for applying for provisional registration of health institutions in the state has been extended by six months.
Now, clinical establishments such as clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, laboratories or imaging centres can apply for provisional registration till September 12, 2025. The previous deadline of one year will end on March 12, 2025.
