DEHRADUN, April 22 -- In the high profile case which saw three policemen seizing cash from a property dealer under the pretext of checks and seizures for the enforcement of election model code of conduct, the official SUV of Garhwal Inspector General (IG) Ajay Rautela has been seized by the police.
This action was taken after it was established by both the district police and Special Task Force (STF) that the SUV in question was indeed used at the time of incident which took place on the night of April 4.
The STF Additional Superintendent of Police Swatantra Kumar on Sunday told The Pioneer, "Yes, we have seized the government vehicle of Garhwal IG Ajay Rautela on Saturday night. Investigation is still going on in the case."
