India, Jan. 14 -- The Delhi Government on Tuesday launched a Rs 64 crore road strengthening and drainage project on the Nangloi-Najafgarh Road.
The project aimed to end chronic waterlogging, traffic congestion and pollution in the area. Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta laid the foundation stone for the project, which is expected to benefit lakhs of daily commuters and residents.
The project focuses on comprehensive drainage construction and road reconstruction along the corridor, which has for decades faced flooding during the monsoon, overflowing drains, potholes and frequent traffic snarls.
