NEW DELHI, June 18 -- In its bid to encourage people to donate blood, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government has tied up with popular social networking site Facebook. This has come in the wake of several people registering themselves with Facebook to become a blood donor.
Delhi Government's outreach intends to enroll more and more people who could volunteer to donate blood for the needy patients.
Interestingly, with this initiative, if there is need for blood in Delhi, the blood bank can be approached through a call and Facebook will send out notifications to all those in that area who have registered as voluntary donors.
