Chandigarh, June 26 -- Punjab Governor and UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore on Tuesday gave a clarion call to the state universities, colleges and other educational institutions, NGOs, voluntary organisations and parents to work on one common platform strengthening the hands of the Punjab Government towards ensuring a 'drug free' and "tandurst" Punjab.

Badnore, on the eve of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking being widely observed, said that eradication of drugs has been taken up as a mission under the Drug Free India campaign, which was reportedly the largest of its kind, where nearly 30,000 students took a pledge to stay away from drugs with the slogan, "Drugs na karunga na karne dunga".
