India, Dec. 9 -- The civil aviation minister on Monday informed the Parliament that the Government has initiated a probe into aviation disruptions caused by IndiGo and warned of action against the airline to set an example for other airlines. Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu was replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha.
"We are doing an inquiry. We will take very, very strict action not only for this situation but also as an example," Naidu said adding that the disruption was a result of IndiGo failing to manage its crew and duty roster. On Monday, IndiGo's crisis entered its eighth day, with 562 flights cancelled across airports.
