Bhopal, March 23 -- Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that after the Model Code of Conduct for Lok Sabha Elections-2024 became effective from March 16, continuous action is being taken by the police and other enforcement agencies. He said that till March 21, various goods worth Rs 14 crore 22 lakh 98 thousand 274 have been seized. Of these, 3 lakh 11 thousand 371 liters of liquor worth Rs 4 crore 3 lakh 85 thousand 101 has been seized.
Similarly, 3 thousand 236 kg drugs worth Rs 2 crore 43 lakh 97 thousand 378 and more than 90 kg precious metals worth Rs 60 lakh 21 thousand have been seized.
