New Delhi, July 15 -- Rajiv Chaudhry, General Manager Northern & North Central Railways held a performance review meeting with the departmental heads of Northern Railway through video conferencing from Baroda House, NR headquarter office in New Delhi.
He discussed the zonal railway's accomplishments and the issues during the covid-19 lockdown and post lockdown period. As the train operation was minimal during the period, all Departments and Divisions used this window period to focus on safety, maintenance of Track, Electrical, S&T and Rolling stock holdings. Other infrastructures enhancing activities were also undertaken in spite of staff and labour crunch.
In total 36,440 Km railway track over the zone was inspected.
