Sources said that while the girl was alone in her house alone at Jenapada village under the Khamar police station under Pallahara block, a youth Suujit Behera entered her house and allegedly tried to rape her by terrorising her with a knife.
But the girl resisted and kicked Sujit, following which the youth fell down and suffered injuries. Despite the injuries, he again barged into the victim's house and tried to attack her with a blade.
