New Delhi, May 14 -- In a strategic move to strengthen its ground-level intelligence network, the Delhi Police has turned to delivery personnel and cab drivers, asking them to act as vigilant informants across the city. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Special Branch) Rajneesh Garg on Monday, aimed to mobilise workers from these platforms to act as the eyes-and-ears of the police while carrying out their daily duties. These individuals - due to their access to a wide range of locations from private residences to Government buildings - are seen as uniquely positioned to observe unusual or suspicious activities.
