Kolkata, July 10 -- The general strike called by the 10 central trade unions evoked partial response in Bengal with all establishments except a large portion of the banking sector and some industrial belts reporting near-normal business, sources said.
The Mamata Banerjee Government which had opposed the strike however claimed that the bandh call had failed to evoke any response in the State.
