Garhwa, Feb. 19 -- With the arrest of one robber Garhwa police claimed to have cracked the Jewellery shop robbery case involving gold ornaments worth over Rs 1.25 crores. Police on Sunday said they had arrested one person, in connection with an armed dacoity that had taken place at a jewellery showroom in Garhwa near Garhdevi chauk in the night of Wednesday.

At least two robbers are still absconding. The police said that around 9 pm on Wednesday , a total of three alleged robbers had overpowered the shop owners and staff on gunpoint, entered the premises and looted nearly three kilograms and 800 grams of gold jewellery worth nearly Rs. 1.25 crore.
