Garhwa, March 6 -- Bhirugu Nath Choubey and Mrityunjay Tiwari have been elected as the new President and Secretary of the District Advocate Association, respectively.

In a closely contested election for the position of President, Bhrugu Nath Choubey defeated Gautam Krishna Sinha by a margin of eight votes. Choubey secured 144 votes, while Sinha received 136. For the Vice-President position, Sachchidanand Shukla emerged victorious among the six candidates, defeating his closest competitor, Jitendra Tiwari, by four votes. Shukla garnered 81 votes, while Tiwari received 77. The other candidates received the following votes: Ashok Kumar (39), Deepak Kumar (8), Devendra Prajapati (42), and Dhirendra Kumar Choubey (27).
