New Delhi/Chandigarh, Feb. 3 -- 'Fugitive' gangster Joginder Geong, who was convicted in about 15 cases including murder, was arrested after being deported from the Philippines. Geong was residing in the Philippines under a fraudulently obtained passport in the name of Kant Gupta, said a police official.
In a joint operation of Delhi and Haryana Police, the accused was arrested. Geong, an active member of Kaushal Chaudhary gang, has been convicted in about 15 cases, including five murder cases. Geong was deported from Manila, Philippines on February 1, and heads a criminal syndicate which operates in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab, said police.
