BHOPAL, March 8 -- Bhopal once had dedicated spaces for women-separate bazaars, ghats, and even days when they could access public buildings. Four generations of female rulers had ensured participation while maintaining societal norms. Today, women make up over 48% of the city's population, actively shaping its progress.
Jahangirabad police station ACP Surbhi Meena believes the administration has ensured women's safety, but true change must begin at home. She emphasises the role of parents in teaching respect and gender equality from an early age. While women are entering diverse professions, she urges them to explore careers beyond traditional roles in medicine and teaching.
