Bhopal, May 27 -- Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital organized a comprehensive eye disease check-up camp at the Central Jail Bhopal on Thursday, where 240 prisoners, including 203 male and 37 female inmates, underwent eye examinations.

During the camp, it was found that 60 inmates were suffering from refraction errors, and 44 others were referred to Sewa Sadan for further surgical procedures. Additionally, 150 inmates were provided with eye drops, while spectacles were distributed to 80 patients.

The camp also revealed other health issues among the prisoners. Five inmates were diagnosed with diabetes, and 13 others were found to have high blood pressure. Jail Superintendent Rakesh Bhangre and Deputy Superintendent MS Maravi were present at the camp,...
