New Delhi, May 3 -- The BJP-ruled Delhi Government failed its first test ahead of the monsoon when heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds and hail, lashed Delhi and its adjoining national Capital Region (NCR) early Friday morning, leading to four deaths including three children and causing widespread water-logging, uprooting trees and snapping power lines. Traffic was disrupted and the weather also affected flight operations. The early morning heavy rainfall brought the Delhi-NCR and north India to a standstill. According to reports, seven people were killed in rain-related incidents across north India in the three hour heavy downpour.
