Bhopal, May 19 -- Vidisha district witnessed two tragic drowning incidents on Sunday, claiming the lives of four individuals, including two youths and two children, underscoring growing concerns over water safety in the region.

In the first incident at Halali Dam, two Bhopal residents, Firoz Khan (23) and Shahzad Khan (33), drowned while holidaying with friends. Officials reported that the victims slipped into deep water while cleaning utensils near the dam's edge. The State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) launched an immediate rescue operation upon receiving the alert.
