Chandigarh, Sept. 29 -- Former Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Sumedh Singh Saini and suspended Inspector General of Police (IG) Paramraj Singh Umranangal have been named in Behbal Kalan firing incident as accused by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the police firing incident of October 14, 2015.
The two have been named as accused in the first information report (FIR) in the Behbal Kalan case registered at Bajakhana police station under the charges of attempt to murder, arms act and conspiracy.
The SIT claimed that both the police officers have been found "prima facie guilty" in this case on the basis of documentary evidence and the statement of witnesses.
