India, Sept. 5 -- India faces widespread flooding, with 21 locations in a "severe flood situation" and 33 more above normal, according to the Central Water Commission. Bihar, UP and Delhi are worst hit. Heavy rainfall continues across northern and eastern States, disrupting transport, halting pilgrimages, flooding Government buildings, and displacing residents. Over 110km of India-Pakistan border fencing is damaged in Jammu and Punjab. Major rivers and reservoirs across north, east and south India are swelling, increasing the threat of more flooding.
