Jammu, Aug. 29 -- Despite India's recent humanitarian gesture of alerting Pakistan about potential flooding in the Tawi River due to unprecedented rainfall, there has been no respite in Pakistan-backed cross-border terrorism.
On Thursday, a joint team of security forces successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district, neutralising two terrorists in a joint operation named Operation Naushera Nar IV.
The operation was launched based on precise intelligence provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), which indicated a likely infiltration attempt by terrorists across the LoC.
