Bhopal, May 20 -- A five-day GIAN (Global Initiative of Academic Networks) course on "Climate Change and Compound Hydrometeorological Events: Insights from Data and Modelling" was inaugurated at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) on Monday.
The course, organised in collaboration with IISER Bhopal under the Ministry of Education, is being attended by Prof Lixin Wang from Indiana University, USA, who brings international expertise to the sessions. His lectures focus on data-driven approaches to understanding extreme weather events such as floods, droughts and heatwaves.
