Ujjain, May 6 -- A fire broke out at the Mahakal Lok Corridor, located within the Mahakaleshwar Temple campus in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday, officials confirmed. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Ujjain Collector Roshan Kumar Singh informed that the fire originated from a battery system in a room of the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board (MPPCB), which had been set up to monitor air quality around the temple. "A fire tender from the temple premises quickly reached the spot, and two additional tenders were dispatched. The blaze was brought under control within approximately 10 minutes," Singh added.
