Mumbai, June 5 -- he third and final stretch of the 701 km Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway - from Igatpuri in Nashik district to Amane in Thane district - will be thrown open to traffic on Thursday, marking the completion of one of the country's longest Greenfield road projects.

Known formally as Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, the Nagpur-Mumbai Super Expressway passes through Maharashtra's 10 districts and 390 villages and it touches prominent urban regions of Amravati, Aurangabad and Nashik.
