BHOPAL, Feb. 13 -- A farmer committed suicide by hanging with a tree in Eintkhedi area on Tuesday night, the police took the body down from the tree and handed it over to the family after postmortem on Wednesday.

According to the family, the farmer was under mental stress for the last three months and was undergoing treatment.

According to police station in-charge Durjan Singh, Takhat Singh Jat (36), resident of Raipur, was a farmer. He is survived by his wife and two children. Family members said that he was under stress due to some family reasons and was undergoing treatment from Dr. RN Sahu.
