Patiala, April 21 -- In what could boost the morale of Shiromani Akali Dal cadres in Punjab, the entire family of the late Akali stalwart and the longest-serving SGPC president Jathedar Gurcharan Singh on Saturday rejoined the SAD here.
Jathedar Tohra's son in law Jathedar Harmel Singh Tohra, daughter Biba Kuldip Kaur and grandson Harinder Pal Singh Tohra joined SAD in the presence of party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. He said the panthic mainstream stands united again.
The development comes close on the heels of the former Congress leaders Jagmeet Singh Brar and Ripjit Singh Brar joining SAD a day before.
Badal presented siropas to those who joined the party and sweets were distributed among party workers on the occasion.
