Lucknow, May 13 -- In a deeply moving expression of patriotism and solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces, dozens of families across India are naming their newborn daughters Sindoor, inspired by Operation Sindoor - the Indian Army's powerful retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports from multiple states suggest this emotional tribute is gaining momentum. In the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh alone, 17 baby girls born on May 10 and 11 at the Government medical college have been named Sindoor by their families.
