BOKARO, April 24 -- ESL has issued an official clarification regarding recent reports surrounding the death of contract worker Mahesh Soren. The company stated that the claims suggesting his death occurred inside the plant premises are completely false and misleading.
According to the report filed at Siyaljori police station, Mahesh Soren was not present on duty on 22 April 2025. His body was found in the forest area of Bhaga Bandh Adivasi Tola, not within the ESL plant premises.
As per the records of the facial recognition attendance system installed at ESL, Mahesh Soren last reported for duty on 20 April and did not enter the plant premises thereafter.
