Bokaro, May 24 -- A mock drill was conducted at ISPAT Bhavan, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), to practice emergency evacuation procedures. The drill aimed to ensure preparedness in case of an emergency and involved the safe evacuation of employees from the building.
The drill was overseen by Director In-Charge B K Tiwari, along with Executive Directors and senior officials from the Safety Engineering Department.
The exercise began with the sounding of a siren to alert occupants to evacuate. Employees on upper floors were rescued using an aerial hydraulic rescue platform operated by the CISF Fire Wing. During the drill, participants were also briefed on the precautions and protocols to follow during an actual emergency.
