New Delhi, April 5 -- In a major boost for thousands of residents in Sonia Vihar, north-east Delhi, the Delhi government has announced the construction of a 5.5-kilometre elevated road on the Sonia Vihar Pusta Road. The project will cost Rs 500 crore. The first capital project of the newly formed BJP government in the city is aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity in the trans-Yamuna area. The elevated road will stretch from Nanak Sar Gurudwara to Shani Mandir (UP border), offering relief to thousands of daily commuters and will offer a respite from the traffic snarl.
