Bhopal, May 18 -- Einthkhedi police have registered a case of fraud after a woman discovered that the plot of land she purchased seven years ago was sold to another person and registered in their name. The victim, Firoza Bano, claims she has also been receiving life threats from the accused broker and his associates.
Firoza, a peon at a private institution and resident of Rajiv Nagar, bought the land plot in Einthkhedi for Rs 1.25 lakh through installments with the intention of securing a future asset for her daughters' marriages. After completing all payments, she recently approached the registry office to finalize the registration, only to find that the land had already been registered under a different name three years prior.
