New Delhi, Nov. 10 -- A powerful explosion near Delhi's historic Red Fort on Monday evening left eight people dead and six others injured, sending shockwaves across the national capital. The blast, which occurred near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, ripped through a parked car with such intensity that nearby vehicles caught fire and were reduced to mangled heaps of metal. Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos as flames engulfed multiple vehicles and injured victims lay on the road awaiting help.
