NEW DELHI, Feb. 22 -- With political parties gearing up for their campaigns as the Lok Sabha polls are likely to be announced between March 10 and 15, the Election Commission (EC) has directed the Railway Board to ensure "smooth and hassle-free" train movement for more than 3.4 lakh security personnel to be deployed for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, with specific instructions to avoid the recurrence of delays noticed in the past.
