India, Jan. 15 -- With last-mile connectivity posing a major hurdle in ensuring seamless Metro travel for commuters, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is all set to provide various mobility services like bike taxis, auto-rickshaws and cab services. In the first phase, 10 stations will offer these services.
The collaboration between DMRC and Sahkar Taxi Cooperative Ltd aims to provide affordable, reliable and safe last-mile connectivity services from DMRC metro stations. These services will offer commuters multiple travel options based on distance, time, affordability and convenience, thereby reducing dependence on unorganised or informal modes of transport, DMRC officials said here on Wednesday.
