Dehradun, Sept. 17 -- The Disaster Mitigation and Management Centre (DMMC) is holding a series of capacity-building programmes for the officials of Education Department of the State to introduce them to various aspects of disaster risk reduction, particularly with reference to schools and students. The first of these residential programmes of five days' duration began on Monday at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Center for Training and Research in Financial Administration at Dehradun.

The event was inaugurated by DMMC executive director Piyoosh Rautela.
