NEW DELHI, May 14 -- nIn order to supplement water availability in deficient areas across the National Capital and to meet peak summer demand, Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has completed a series of works such as installing 254 new tube-wells this year, up-gradation of 'Water Treatment Plant' (WTP) and replacement of old and rusted pipes besides fixing leakage to achieve targeted 925 MGD (millions of gallons per day) of potable water production.

Every year water demand in the city reaches to its peak during the summers. To carter the need of consumers during the summer, the DJB has targeted water production of about 925 MGD in its summer action plan by optimizing all its resources, a senior DJB official said.
